The Walterboro District Connectional Ministries consists of four areas, Discipleship, Outreach, Advocacy and Lay Leadership.  Individuals are selected to serve in a specific ministry area by the District Superintendent, Congregational Specialist and Lay Leader.

The purpose of the Walterboro District Connectional Ministries Table is to equip the local church with resources needed to carryout ministry in the local church and to share their stories of faith in action throughout the district, the SC Annual Conference and beyond. 

The Walterboro District Connectional Ministries is charged to develop and implement effective tools for ministry and provide them to the local church while creating a support system for ongoing ministry in the local church and through out the district so that the mission of Jesus Christ is our reality- Making Disciples for Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World. 

This is twofold process as it includes evaluating where we are as a district and listening intently to hear what the Holy Spirit is calling us to do and to be in the future.  The Walterboro District Connectional Ministries is responsible for studying, interpreting, and communicating the current reality of our district's ministries through the local church, assessing the current resources (human and material), and designing a system that is effective, efficient and sustainable to meet the varied needs of congregations as they engage in ministries of Discipleship, Outreach, Advocacy and Lay Leadership. 

The Walterboro Distrcit Connectional Ministries is a team.  Currently there are 27 members who serve willingly under the guidance of our spiritual leaders, Rev. Ernest Etheredge, District Superintendent and Rev. Judson King, Congregational Specialist. 

The Walterboro District Connectional Ministries endeavors to 1) create a shared vision by listening to each other, the laity and clergy and to God and 2) equip the local church with resources to engage in ministries to bring the vision to reality.
