Welcome to the website of the Walterboro District of the United Methodist Church of the South Carolina Annual Conference.  We the clergy and laity extend to you an invitation to come and worship with us at anytime you are in one of our communities.  John Wesley proclaimed “The world is our parish.”  The Low Country of South Carolina is a beautiful place to live or visit.

The Walterboro District consists of Allendale, Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton and Jasper counties.  The district also reaches into Barnwell, Bamberg, Berkley, Dorchester and Orangeburg counties as well.  There are 51 charges and 99 churches, with a new church mission on Ladys Island, SC (Waters Edge) and a new mission in Bluffton, SC (GracePoint).  The district has four cluster areas/groups: Beaufort, Hampton, St. George and Walterboro.

The churches and charges on the Walterboro District are involved in a variety of missions and ministries.  The clergy and laity are faithful disciples working to carry out the Great Commission (St. Matthew 28:16-20)
